Pea Ridge National Military Park Presents: Dabney H Maury: A Soldier in Gray @ Pea Ridge National Military Park

VUA Kerry Jones will present “Dabney Herndon Maury: A Soldier in Gray” on Saturday, September 15 at 10:00am. This one hour program will focus on the extraordinary life of Confederate General Maury and his role on General Earl Van Dorn’s staff during the battle of Pea Ridge. This program will take place in the visitor center auditorium. Seating is limited. For more information please call 479-451-8122 x 1227.

Pea Ridge National Military Park Artillery Program @ Pea Ridge National Military Park

Pea Ridge National Military Park will conduct Civil War artillery programs on Saturday, September 15, 2018. Artillery demonstrations are scheduled for 11:00 am, 12:00 pm, 1:00 pm, and 2:00 pm behind the park visitor center. Pea Ridge NMP will be conducting these programs throughout the summer and early fall. You will find programs on the calendar on our website www.nps.gov/peri.

Pea Ridge National Military Park presents a talk on the 1st Kansas Colored Infantry Regiment @ Pea Ridge National Military Park

In celebration of Black History Month, Park Guide Kerry Jones will present, “The 1st Kansas Colored Infantry Regiment” at 1:00pm Saturday, February 22, at Pea Ridge National Military Park. This one-hour program will focus on the nation’s first African-American unit to experience combat in the Civil War and examine their organization, the battles they fought, the Emancipation Proclamation and discuss their legacy.
